The City of Ravello

Perched on a rocky outcrop, at 365 meters high, Ravello is set right in the middle of the Amalfi coast, overlooking the whole Gulf of Salerno. It is one of the most popular destinations of the Divine coast, due to the irresistible fascination and fame that made it famous in the world, a perfect combination of art and music to deserve the acknowledgement as cultural heritage of UNESCO and the appellative of City of Music. Already Boccaccio was fascinated by Ravello, during his stay in Naples, so much to praise it in the Decameron, giving immortal fame to Landolfo Rufolo.

All the rooms of this exclusive residence are characterised by large and bright spaces, attention to details and colored majolica tiles in Vietri style, giving its guests all the comfort they need for a very relaxing stay in Ravello. Holyday House da Birba consists in two wonderful apartments: Mirò and Wagner.

Named after the famous German composer who drew inspiration for the magical gardens of Klingsor in Parsifal’s second act while he was enjoying Villa Rufolo gardens, the Wagner Apartment is located on the ground floor of the property and can accommodate up to 4 pax. It consists of a large living area with kitchenette, one double bedroom and private bathroom with shower.

By plain

From Naples

1. "Capodichino" International Airport. Sorrento Circumvesuviana Train timetable / time table (Soc Curreri +39 081 8015420).

2. Public bus to the train station and the port of Naples (Soc CLP +39 081 8015420: service hours 06.00-20.00 every 30 ').

From Rome

1. "Leonardo da Vinci" airport.

2. FS Train (every hour) to Termini, then to Naples (info: www.trenitalia.it).

By Train

From Naples

The railway station is connected to Sorrento by the Circumvesuviana line train (departing every 25 minutes). From Sorrento to Positano, Amalfi and Salerno, take the Sita bus.

From Salerno

From the railway station, take the Sita bus to arrive to Amalfi and Ravello.

By Car

From Naples (60 Km):

A3 motorway, exit at Castellammare di Stabia and follow the indications to Sorrento (SS145) and, then, to the Amalfi coast (SS143).

From Salerno (34 Km):

Exit at Salerno centre and take the SS163 Amalfitana.
